Using old photographs audio clips, images of phonographs, and elaborate explanations of early recording devices, this site removes the mythical quality present in any history and replaces it with a more solid comprehension of the beginnings of recorded sound. The site is well organized, open to interaction and successful in providing useful information to novices and experts alike.
