Musician Stephen Doster shared what his five desert island CDs would be if he was alone on a desert island.


Revolver- The Beatles. It's hard for me to pick one Beatles record, but Revolver is always in the mix. The versatility and the visionary strokes of color from "Eleanor Rigby" to "Tomorrow Never Knows."


Fives Leaves Left- Nick Drake. It was the first time I thought of song as impressionistic and not narrative. "River Man" is still one of my favourite songs.


After The Gold Rush- Neil Young. Might be my favourite record of all time. Every song a jewel. Tonight's The Night is right up there with it


Plastic Ono Band- John Lennon. The first time I heard it I was gobsmacked. This wasn't pop music, it someone spilling their blood out in front of me. He could have sang any nice song and made a million dollars, but no. He had something to say, and it hit me hard.


Me and Jerry- Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. Guitar playing on another level. It's fun, and humbling to listen to.
